ndrea Lee is one of the rising stars in the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first win at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee won in all tournaments, and she won nine times during her collegiate days at Standford University. She also spent 17 consecutive weeks at the top on the Ladies Amateur World ranking. In the end, the Mark H. McCormack Trophy was given to her after she ended the year as the number one female amateur. After that she was an professional. Andrea Lee made her name as an amateur and is now a professional. The American LPGA Tour athlete has many surprising details that you might not have known. Andrea Lee is a Los Angeles native who was born in the month of August, 1998. James started teaching her daughter how to play golf at the age of 5. She started competing in tournaments aged 8 and was able to win 50 junior championships within the span of four years. She made the cut in this year's US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. with her father as caddie. She was just 15 when this happened. The 15-year-old was given a sponsor's invitation for the 15th ANA Inspiration on the LPGA Tour but missed the cut by one stroke. Lee played for the USA for Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup and also as Women's World Amateur Team Championship. After joining Stanford University in 2016 she became the top-rated athlete in the history of the university in that moment. Over the next three years she took home nine individual championships. Lee graduated from Stanford University in 2019 and turned professional. Her amateur record included 17 weeks in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee has also been awarded the Mark H. McCormack Award in 2019, following her completion of the year at the top of amateur ranking. Lee's record for amateur play was four holes in a single, and one albatross. Lee was ranked in Top 10 once in her debut season on the LPGA Tour. She placed 7th in the 2020 AIG Women's Open at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee took home her first LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Portland Classic. The win was dedicating to her late grandfather Min. She called her champions, and believed in me. He was an amazing person and I'm sure that the world is following. She has competed before in figure skating, soccer and Taekwondo. Lee also enjoys watching movies, singing in bowls and ski.
